CULTURAL COMMITTEE REPORT ON SRUJANA-TALENTS DAY 2021-2022

Every student has an ocean of hidden talent, and it was displayed at “SRUJANA” on 30th June 2022 and 1st July 2022 a talent show competition. The function was arranged by “RBANMS First Grade College”. The program was inaugurated by Dr. Prathap, the principal of RBANMs First Grade College, Assoc Prof Ravindra, vice principal, and the cultural committee coordinator.

 

The main reason behind organizing the competition is to nurture the intrinsic qualities of students and remove the fear of stage among the students, which helps them in personality development.

The students were full of confidence and enthusiasm prior t their performances. The competition included the following categories: Rangoli, dumb charades, Mehandi, Nail Art, Memory test, poetry writing, quiz, hairstyle, cooking without fire, collage, sketching, face painting, spell bee, essay writing, vegetable carving, solo singing, pot painting, group singing, mime and skit, mimicry, flower arrangement, solo dance, group dance, fashion show, BGMI, treasure hunt and beat the clock.

RANGOLI

Imagination is the spark that ignites the fire of creativity.

Rangoli is a traditional form that brightens the occasion and is believed to be a harbinger of good luck. The talent and creativity of the students were well brought in Srujana organized on 30th June 2022. The students put their best foot forward and took part in the competition with zest. Innovation and creation are the words that best describe their efforts. The competition was held under the supervision of Ms. Shavitha and Ms. Poornima.


DUMB CHARADES

To boost the energies and lift the spirits the cultural team conducted events that would relieve everyone from their tiresome schedule. Dumb Charades is one such event conducted on 31st June 2022. The traditional way of playing dumb charades is either with movie or actor’s names. The traditional way of playing dumb charades is either with movie or actors’ names. But the team creatively planned and conducted it with the names of social, economic, and political areas. The competition was held under the supervision of Ms. Bharathi and Dr. Avinash.

 

 

 

 

MEHANDI

Students showcased their talent in the Mehandi competition irrespective of the exposure and experience, they adorned their hands with mendhi designs which helped them boost their confidence in the art. The competition was held on 30th June 2022 Students from every department participated with enthusiasm. They created beautiful designs on different themes. The competition was held under the supervision of Ms. Savitha and Ms. Mehnaaz. The faculties who was mesmerized by the designs of the students opened their hand as a volunteer.

 

 

NAIL ART

The cultural committee of the college organized a Nail Art competition on 30th June Before the competition, the notice along with rules was sent to the students. They participated in the event their names and details are enclosed along with this report. Each participant had their friends as a model to execute the nail art. The participants were enthusiastically involved in the event. Ms. Asha and Ms. Bindhu were invited to judge the event and the result is enclosed.

 

 


 

MEMORY TEST

A memory test aims to improve the students’ short-term memory and speed recognition skills. The attractive illustrations given in this test helps assess their visual memory. The participants who cleared the preliminary test entered the final test. The competition was held under the supervision of Prof Ravindra and Ms. Asha.


POETRY WRITING

Beauty is the realm of poetry; the students enthusiastically participated in the competition as they got an opportunity to exhibit their talent and confidence. The competition inspired young poets to come forward. The students came up with different poems on the theme and recited them with great fondness and zeal. They enjoyed the perfection of expression, thoughts, emotions, rhythm, and music of words. The competition was held under the supervision of all the language teachers of the college.


 

 

QUIZ

Quiz competitions are always interesting and informative, which provide excitement among the Students. The main objective of this event is to make them aware of recent general knowledge and current affairs. The event was held under the supervision of Dr. Avinash and Mr. Nawaz.

 

HAIRSTYLE

Hair styling is a technique that makes everything more beautiful. The activity was held on 30th June 2022 inside the college campus. It was a very beautiful event where the girls showcased their skills with different traditional and bridal hairstyles. The judges of the show enjoyed the event with the participants. The show was held under the supervision of two beautiful ladies Ms. Pavithra and Ms. Mahalakshmi.

 

 

 

 

COOKING WITHOUT FIRE

Students participated with full zeal and enthusiasm as they doled out nutritious food items displayed were a  visual treat and were presented in an artistic and aesthetic style. Dishes were judged on nutrition and taste by esteemed judges Dr. Prathap, Dr. Shankar, and Ms. Priya. They interacted with the budding chefs to find out the ingredients of the recipes, their nutritional value, and the historical significance of the dishes prepared by them. Judges were overawed by the efforts of the participants and the results

 

 

 


 

COLLAGE

The students were briefed about the significance of Collage, which is a technique of art production, primarily used in the visual arts, where the artwork is made from an assemblage of different forms, thus creating a new whole. A collage may sometimes include magazine and newspaper clippings, ribbons, paint, bits of colored or handmade papers, portions of other artwork, and so on. The competition took place bear the library corridor of the college and the judges who were undertaken were Mr. Md Nawaz and Ms. Bindu.


 

SKETCHING

Many concepts and situations are best explained by sketching.

Students of our college stepped forward to showcase their talents. Students sketched their imagination and thoughts. The event was under the supervision of Mr. Farooq and Ms. Rajini.

 

 


 

FACE PAINTING

One of the museum’s most popular activities – Face Painting– provides such freedom and empowers students to build creative thinking and social skills, confidence and coordination while they doodle, draw, color, and create masterpieces on their faces. The competition was conducted on 30th June 2022 the students used bright organic colors and painted them on their partner’s face. The competition was judged by Ms. Pavithra and Ms. Rajini.


 

SPELL BEE

This competition was one of the numerous enjoyable competitions that give students a platform to learn spellings in different ways. This competition helps students improve their spellings, increase their vocabulary, learn concepts, and develop the use of correct English. Students participated earnestly in the competition. Their efforts and initiative were appreciated by one and all.

 

 

 

 


 

ESSAY WRITING

The college conducted an essay writing competition for the students of all the departments on 30th June 2022. The competition was organized to encourage the writing skills of the students on various issues of importance and arouse their interest in dealing with such problems. The students had to write a thousand words on any one of the given topics. The students participated with great enthusiasm. The competition was judged by all the Language teachers of the college.



 

VEGETABLE CARVING

Vegetable carving which was held on 30th June 2022. Inspired many students to participate especially the boys who took part in this competition they tried creating new art forms and innovative designs using the vegetables and carving pieces of equipment.

 

 

SOLO SINGING

The Solo  Singing Competition was held on 1st July 2022. The participants from different departments put forth their enthralling performance. The competition was judged by Ms. Pushpalatha and Ms. Bindu. The occasion was graced by the esteem presence of staff and students. The competitors gave out a  variety of songs. They came up with such melodious voices which in the run attracted the audience as such. Great support was given from the audience side.  All our young maestros took part in the competition making the competition a great success. All of them sang to their level best. The winners were well appreciated by the judges.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

POT PAINTING

The pot painting competition was held on 31st June 2022. It was an event where the students had to paint the earthen pots with the help of the other team members. The themes were decided by the students and the participants came up with a diverse state of mind and painted the pots very artistically. This event not only helped them to enhance their creative skills and talent but also enriched their sense of team participation; where they could adapt to the sense of urgency and the dynamics of the team. The event was judged by Ms. Mehanaaz and Mr. Sunil Kumar.

 



 

GROUP SINGING

“Words make you think. Music makes you feel. A song makes you feel a thought”

 Music binds our souls, hearts, and emotions. Music is the best method of relaxation. It cheers the spirit and lightens the heart. In fact, through singing, children learn to express their feelings and ideas. To bring out the singing talent of the students, Group Singing Competition was organized in the college on 1st June 2022 in the college auditorium.

Students participated in the same and put forth their enthralling performances to adjudge. The competitors presented a variety of songs and made the whole atmosphere melodious. All the young maestros sang to their level best and made the competition a great success. All the performances were greeted with a loud round of applause. Each one of them sang with the same zeal.



 

SOLO DANCE

“Dancing is creating a sculpture that is visible only for a moment”. To hone the dancing skills of the students, Solo Dance Competition was organized on 1st June 2022 in our college auditorium. The competition was held in various Indian dance forms. Students were ready for the competitions wearing different colorful costumes. The judges encouraged the participants and appreciated their performance.

 

 

 

 


 

GROUP DANCE

The air became alive as the dancers, clad in vibrant and flashy accouterment, whirled and twirled to the rhythmic beats of melodious, peppy numbers. It was a challenge for the judges to pick out the winners. They appreciated the efforts of all the participants and encouraged the others to learn this art form and participate in such events. The show was judged according to the group’s coordination and facial expression.


 

FASHION SHOW

The fashion show which held on 1st July 2022 in the college auditorium the theme of the show was an open theme. The students set the stage on fire with their ramp walks. In the end, students were briefed about their attire to the audience and judges.


 

BGMI

Battleground an Indian Pubg version was conducted on 31st June 2022. The competition was conducted as a squad match where about 12 teams played on one battlefield under the supervision of the volunteers of the event. The competition was held for 60 minutes and the team who won the winner chicken dinner of the match was the winner of the BGMI.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

TREASURE HUNT

Treasure hunt, the idea of hunting for hidden treasures has always been exciting and adventurous. In a treasure hunt, participants work in small teams to find the treasure with the help of given clues. The team who decodes the clue and finds the treasure first will win the game. The game of treasure hunt comes from the concept of scavenger hunting where participants have to find several items from the list provided to them. Treasure hunt differentiates itself from scavenger hunting by providing given clues to find the treasure. Students were running throughout the campus to find the clue.


 

BEAT THE CLOCK

The Beat the Clock Challenge is a fantastic gimmick match.

The simple concept creates suspense and raises the stakes of competition. The students were provided with some eatables which they have to complete within the given time the person who fails was disqualified and the game continued to the next round.

 


 

CONCLUSION

SRUJANA 2021-2022 was filled with joy and enjoyment in the minds of the students and teachers. The various competition conducted by the college helped the teachers to find out the talents of the students. Students participated enthusiastically in every competition. The off-stage events were so delightful and the on-stage events set the stage on fire. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Pavithra and an appreciation speech by principal Dr. Prathap with group photography.
