Education must go beyond the syllabus and help prepare students for life so that their professional success is balanced with their personal, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing. Our student-centric approach keeps the campus energetic and purposeful all through the academic year and offer learnings that will always stay as anchor in the ebb and flow of life. What is education? What is the value of coming to college? Why bother with a degree? At RBANM’s First Grade College we ask these very important questions and try to find answers from the point of view of the student who has decided to trust us as a life guide. We have a three-pronged approach: address exams, address employability, and address personality development. In the classroom and outside, through theory and in practice, it is this philosophy of education that fuels all that we do. This holistic approach to education is in keeping with the vision of that extraordinary man who founded the RBANM’s Educational Charities in 1873: Rai Bahadur Arcot Narrainswamy Mudaliar. Even today, his ideals of equity, equality, justice, inclusion, and respect for diversity permeate our teaching philosophy. Ours is a college that is a temple of learning for all, where no student is ignored or left behind, and where education is seen as a precious gift that is life changing. Dr. Sahana Das

In the process of guiding students through the prescribed syllabii and the examination system, we also mould their personality by instilling in them values, skills and the right attitude towards life. In conclusion, I can say that, joining RBANM’s FGC will be a decision a student will never regret, for he/ she can then have secure future and a successful life. Having the opportunity to ‘Enrich, Excel and Evolve’, this is a place where students are taught to reach the sky and beyond. - Dr. Shanti Iyer

RBANMs First Grade College:Myself Mahalakshmi persuing M.com in the prestigious college RBANMS. I didn't know about this college but just selected this by analysing it's historical background after my UG, but I feel my analysis worked out really good in selecting this college. Not only the historical background but also the modern teaching and learning atmosphere facilitates the student to shape up their career with enthusiasm. The best infrastructure, highly qualified teaching faculty, conceptual teaching in a practical way, interactive sessions and creative assignments brought me a sense of confidence. Many inter college and intra college seminars, debates, Power point presentations are conducted to explore the calibre of the learner. Totally I'm very happy that I've made a right choice. A heaven for those who seek peace and a sense of accomplishment. The couple of years, gaining knowledge at RBANM's. A feeling of pride and growth has already set in. I truly feel our founder, Sri.Narrainsawmy Mudaliar has put in so much thought in leaving behind such a legacy.
A popular misconception that people have is that our college is an age old institution. But in my personal opinion it is our strength (you can hold me to it). Our values come from our ancestors and it’s not a blessing to connect with our roots, because it helps us stay in touch with reality and true self. The vast and well-attended to campus brings in such great sense of wholeness and genuinity in the densely packed city. The campus being in the centre of the city is an open invitation to all who want to experience the joy that we get here.
And as a campus student, I’ve always felt that our college gives us the bigger picture of growth – Not just with studies, but with sports, cultural events, national social service opportunities, national cadet corps participations and growth by encouraging our dreams and desires by fuelling to our needs.
That being said, I highly praise the Lecturers and the faculty of the college who have always made us feel ‘home’. Not only do they cater to our educational needs but they also care about our well-being and this builds a great bond between both the faculty and the students.
To be precise, if I had a choice to make, on where I’d want to pursue my education, I would do choose RBANMs all over again. – Student Clyde, BBA
RBANMS First Grade College is a good college offering higher education in affordable cost. Many students who speak Tamil language as their mother tongue study here. The lecturers here are well experienced and some of them have more than 10 years of teaching experience in this college. When I joined this college, as a student I saw the lecturers teaching the students separately who had been absent for some classes, so they may be perfect in their knowledge and for their well-performance in the examination. This is a Hindu College but all the lecturers and students honour all the religions, thus, there is equality and liberty on the basis of caste, creed, colour and religion. No kind of discrimination is seen at this place. I testify all these things as a Christian and also as a Student of this college. This college is also known for NCC Army and Naval Wing.

World Environment Day is the most important day for encouraging worldwide awareness and action for the protection of our environment. Since it began in 1974, it has grown to become a global platform for public outreach that is widely celebrated in over 100 countries. World Environment Day is the "people's day" for doing something to take care of the Earth.
Each World Environment Day is organised around a theme that focuses attention on a particularly pressing environmental concern. The theme for the World Environment Day 2018, "Beat Plastic Pollution".
The theme invites everyone to consider how they can make changes in their everyday lives to reduce the heavy burden of plastic pollution on our natural places, our wildlife - and their own health. While plastic has many valuable uses, we have become over-reliant on single-use or disposable plastic - with severe environmental consequences.
